The objective of the study is to examine whether performance appraisal has a positive impact on employee productivity. The researcher used survey method, primary and secondary method was used as methods of data collection. Questionnaire was the instrument for primary data collection. The population of the study comprises the management and staff of the organization under study which stands at 4,697 and the sample size of 370 was determined using Tairo Yamani’s formula. And chi-square method was used to test the hypotheses earlier formulated. On this note, the findings revealed among others that performance appraisal has a positive impact on employee productivity in Dangote Cement Company, also that there is a significant relationship between performance appraisal and employee productivity in Dangote Cement Company and the method of employee appraisal in Dangote cement company is effective to enhance their productivity To this end, it was recommended among others that the organization should provide the employees with the proper working tools and equipment for higher performance. Reward for employees should not be totally dependent on high scores in the performance appraisal reports.
