Abstract
This study focused on capital budgeting and its implications on the corporate organization, using 7up Bottling Company Plc, Aba as a case study. This project will be of immense help in analyzing the importance of capital budgeting on projects, the process and techniques of capital budgeting on projects in terms of profitability and necessity in order to enable the right choice of project selection by corporate organizations. In this study, four research questions were asked, two hypotheses were formulated and tested. A total of 63 questionnaires were received for the analysis. This research work is divided into five chapters. Chapter one talks about the background of the study, problems, objectives of the study. Chapter two which is the literature review describes the meaning, processes, and techniques of capital budgeting and its relevance to corporate organizations. Chapter three deals with the research design, method of data collection, population and sample size. Chapter four deals with the presentation and analysis of data, testing of hypothesis and interpretation of results, in which the two null hypotheses was rejected and the alternative hypotheses was accepted concluding that, there is correlation between capital budgeting and growth, profitability and development of 7up bottling coy plc, Aba. It was also concluded that there are implications of capital investment in the growth and development of public and private sector economy.
