Estimating some mechanical properties of rock from in-situ rebound values Department:Mineral and Petroleum Resources Engineering By: clems0123 Project ID: 2086 Rating: (3.3) votes: 6 Price:₦1000 Get the Complete MaterialAbstractThe research deals with estimating some mechanical properties of rock from in-situ rebound value in Oreke open pit quarry, N-Type Schmidt rebound hammer data were collected from Oreke open-pit .the data were collected with the view to ascertain the suitability of Schmidt hammer for quick, cheap and less cumbersome estimation of the uniaxial compressive strength of marble. The data collection was strictly carried out by ASTM and suggested equation by different authors. Uniaxial compressive strength, density, young modulus were determined using value conversion graph. uniaxial compressive strength for location 1 was 70MPa which mean the rock is medium in classification and location 2 and 3 was 55MPa this implies that is medium in term of strength, a type is a competent metamorphic rock....Preview Download Preview +Other Mineral and Petroleum Resources Engineering project topics and materials you might be interested in»Estimating some mechanical properties of rock from in-situ rebound values»Fuel assessment of coal as an industrial mineral - a case study of Egbute camp coal, Okeluse, Ondo State»Purification of silica sand by acid leaching for glass production sand deposit along river flood plain (case study of Chalanazawan Plan Jos south, Plateau state)»Design and construction of a laboratory rock cutting machine for lapidary using locally sourced materials»Comparative analysis - VS XRF for cassiterite grade evaluation
