To know this, 150 copies of questionnaires was administered to critically examine the topic. The use of questionnaire is because of its necessity in survey research it provides the means of discove1ring the prevailing attitude and reactions of population. The theories used for this project are Development Media Theory and Cultural Imperialism Theory. The study concludes that there is a significant relationship between the viewership of home videos (Basorun Gaa) and the promotion of cultural practices, propagation of traditions, cultural values, norms and aspirations of the people.
