Abstract
In every organization, internal audit function is very relevant and cannot be over emphasized. Management has it as the primary source of advice to achieve financial efficiency and prudence. Employee behaviour can therefore positively or negatively influence internal audit function. In this case, it may result in a serious consequence in the internal control system and performance of that organization. To consider this fact, this study attempts to examine the influence of employee behaviour on internal audit function of an organization with particular reference to P.Z industries Ltd. To achieve this research objective, the following hypothesis were tested 1. Employee behavioural tendencies in organization have no effect on the internal audit function. 2. There is no relationship existing between employees and internal audit function 3. Many organizations do not have qualified accounts personnel as internal human 4. Management does not consider human behaviour in recruitment of employees. This research used primary and secondary data which were obtained from personnel observation, questionnaire, and libraries 300 questionnaire were distributed to some staff of P.Z. industries Aba and 250 returned. In the analysis of questionnaire, response from the respondents were based on Clu square statistical model.. ...
