The objective of the study was to determine the effect of refuse dumping on urban property character in Owerri West Local Government Area in Imo State. The data were collected through primary and secondary sources, the hypothesis would be tested using the chi-square statistical tool. The research reveals that some areas of our cities are presently under serious threat of being submerged in rapidly growing waste management for the good and immediate future of the real property market.
