Nine research questions were used in the study. The finding of the study showed that mass media has an influence in generating awareness against covid-19, accuracy and balance on the reporters and editors. However, recommendations were made by the researcher that the effect of this research should be extended to other states in Nigeria. However, mass media programme should be the type that educates, entertain, inform and persuade individuals.
