Effectiveness of social media and economic development in Ini local government area Department:Mass Communication By: nsikakuku Project ID: 5712 Rating: (3.3) votes: 6 Price:₦3000 Get the Complete MaterialAbstractThis study is focused on“Effectiveness of social media and economic development in Ini Local Government Area” the objective of the study were, to find out if residents of Ini are aware of social media, to find out if residents of Ini use the social media, to find out the social media platforms, residents use to communicate online, to find out if the residents of Ini use the platforms to communicate messages on economic development. Survey method was adopted for the study. Sample was drawn from the cluster random sampling technique where 300 questionnaires were distributed to respondents, out of which 260 were completely returned with useful information. The theoretical framework used for the study was the diffusion of innovation theory and socio-emotional selectivity theory. The method for gathering data was the questionnaire. Findings from the objectives of the study show that residents of Ini are aware of social media and the way use and communicate is credible. It was concluded that owners of social media should provide a platform to check the problem of backlash in social media so as to stop the loading of offensive content in order to make the information vital and accurate.
