The objectives of this study among others were to ascertain the influence of the programme“AIDS and You” on the people of Ikot Ekpene. Related literatures have been reviewed and the Gratification and Agenda Setting Theory provided the theoretical base for this study. The study adopted the survey research method. The population of the study comprised some selected residents in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area. Ikot Ekpene Local Government is divided into two days which are Ikot Ekpene Urban and Amayan. The projected population of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area is as 367,000 as at 2019. Findings revealed that the media is an indispensable partner in the fight and prevention of HIV/AIDS. It was concluded that lack of awareness and exposure to the radio programme“AIDS and You” is responsible for why people contract HIV/AIDS.
