This study is historical in its methodology. The researcher mainly emphasizes the Iwa Akwa festival done in Umunomo Ihittaforukwu in Ahaizu Mbaise of Imo state. It is a ceremonial rite of initiate must be between the ages of 24-26 years. In Umunomo Ihittaforukwu the initiate must be 30 years before partaking in this rite. The practical work showcasing this was produced in acrylic renderings. The researcher deployed materials like Brushes, acrylic, canvas, e.t.c. all to educate the general public on the importance and benefits of the Iwa Akwa festival. Problems encountered by the researcher includes a lack of travel logistics to schedule interviews in the community on the origin of the Iwa Akwa festival, to get diverse views, the researcher found it hard to achieve these common goals. The major significance of this project is to add knowledge and to educate society at large.
