The major objective of this project is to examine to identify the impact of insecurity on sustainable development in Kogi State, and to examine the reasons for the disciplinary procedure in Nigeria civil service with particular reference to Kogi State. to evaluate the disciplinary procedures in the civil service. and to Access the impact of disciplinary actions on job performance in Kogi State civil service.. The methodology adopted in gathering data was descriptive method, both the primary and secondary methods. The major instrument used to gather data from primary source is the questionnaire. From a population of 4,500,000 sample size of 400 respondents was selected using simple random technique. Findings revealed that proper discipline enhances employee performance in an organization. Job placement is one of the causes of employee indiscipline, also disciplinary procedures are meant to reform unacceptable behaviours of employee performance in civil service. In view of the findings, it was recommended that The management and employees should be made to understand that, without discipline, there can’t be any growth in the organization.
