There has been a number of road accident that has it root in overspeeding on all roads. The continuous guess to have the problems of man and his growing needs solved has led to the innovation of a speed measuring device to help reduce the rate of overspeeding on our roads. Then, there comes the need for the design and development of the speed measurement device. Device is very simple and consists of only a few components: HC-SR 04 ultrasonic Sensor. Arduino Nano microcontroller, LCD display (16/2) white on blue and LED (Red). In conclusion, the project give a beep sound continuously and a write-up was boldly written on the screen until the vehicle slows down below the set nominal speed then the beep, LED was off and likewise on the screen, it was written normal speed.
