The project is divided into five chapters. The study targeted all the public secondary schools in Gwale local government, Kano state. The local government has a total number of 32 schools comprising of 32 principals and 275 teachers. 184 respondents were randomly selected out of the entire population using random sampling technique, the findings of the study revealed that transactional leadership style is the most used leadership style by the principals.
