The ability to control home appliances without having physical contact with the appliance has helped to increase comfort and quality of life. Most home automation systems consist of a smartphone and a microcontroller. The aim of this project is to design a prototype Bluetooth control home automation system. A smartphone is required to control the appliances via a Bluetooth application. The application has been edited to suit the number of appliances or devices in the house. The controls on the Bluetooth application are used to communicate with a Bluetooth module connected to a microcontroller. The microcontroller understands the message received and hence controls the controlled appliance as ordered.
