The unbearable burden of inequality in income distribution in the system perceives household income to be too high which makes housing affordability very difficult. The study aims to evaluate these issues and proffer maximum solution by identifying the types of accommodation occupied by those households with respect to their income level in Owerri North Local, to ascertain whether household income affects the choice of housing Owerri North and to evaluate. The percentage of income currently allocated to housing by households in Owerri North L.G.A. The study used survey design techniques, the population of the study consisted of 175,359 population in Owerri North L.G.A, and the study utilized sample random techniques which were adopted for the selection of a sample size of 90. The questionnaire was the major instrument for data collection. The data collected was analyzed using frequency distribution table and sample percentage. The study also serves as a test for higher institution learners and tenant (landlord), co-operate agents. The work vividly exercised encouragement income allocation vise-visa. In conclusion, Non-housing outcomes are affected by housing affordability because housing adsorbs a high proportion of household expenditure.
