Appointment system in the hospital, its roles and challenges (a case of out-patient department, NAUTH) Department:Health Information Management By: Godstimearinze Project ID: 7519 Rating: (3.0) votes: 2 Price:₦3000 Get the Complete MaterialAbstractThis study on“Appointment system in the Hospital, its roles and challenges” (A case study of the outpatient department, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi), was carried out with three specific objectives which include finding out if the patient and staff at medical out-patient and surgical out-patient knows the roles of appointment system, the challenges facing staff and patient using appointment system and solutions to those challenges. A descriptive survey design was used and 49 staff at medical out-patient and surgical out-patient which comprise doctors, nurses and health records, and 51 patients which was selected simply randomly from the clinic making the total population 100 which is also used as the sample size. The researcher used a questionnaire in gathering the data that are used for this research and after the analysis had been done, the researcher concluded that the appointment system plays a role in reducing patient waiting time and also highlighted of the ways of reducing the challenges of missing appointments.
