This study investigates the utilization of HIS among students of the Public Administration and Management Department at Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The population study is (78) seventy-eight which is the total number of ND students in the Department in FedPolyNekede. Also, the data collected were analyzed using frequency counts and percentages. The study found that while the HIS was available, its utilization among students was suboptimal. Factors influencing utilization included technological limitations, lack of awareness, and inadequate training. Despite these challenges, the study identified positive impacts of HIS utilization, including increased health awareness and potential improvements in student welfare services. Recommendations include enhancing technological infrastructure, implementing training programs, and raising awareness to promote greater utilization of the HIS.
