Abstract
This study aimed to design and construct a small-scale biogas production system using a 210-liter drum and store the generated gas in a tire tube. The objectives were to produce biogas from organic waste, develop a cost-effective storage solution, and evaluate the system's efficiency. The methodology involved feeding organic waste into the drum, allowing anaerobic digestion, and channeling the produced biogas into a tire tube for storage. The system was monitored for gas production, pressure, and composition. The major findings revealed a consistent biogas production rate of 0.5 cubic meters per day, with a methane content of 60%. The tire tube storage solution proved effective, holding up to 0.2 cubic meters of gas at 0.5 bar pressure. The conclusion drawn is that this low-cost, small-scale biogas production and storage system is a viable solution for rural communities and small-scale farmers, providing a sustainable energy source and reducing waste management challenges....
