The research design adopted a case study approach and the study was conducted in the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba, the instrument used for data collection was the questionnaire which was analyzed using the chi-square method. The study reviews the effect of internal control on fraud prevention in public sectors as well as the existence of fraudulent practices in public sector organizations.
