Abstract
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can be defined as the application of computers and other technologies for easy acquisition, organization, storage, accessibility, retrieval, and dissemination of information The rapid changes in information and communication technology cause the already uncertain business environment to be even more predictable. Organizations’ ability to identify the relevant information needed to make important decisions is crucial since the access to data used to generate information for decision-making is no longer restricted by the manual systems of the organization The general objective of the study is to assess the progress and challenges of information and communication technology in the library at Federal University, Lafia. Both primary and secondary sources of data will be used for the research.
