The study adopted descriptive survey research design, while the study population involved 63 Health Records professionals. Complete enumeration was used in place of sample size, and a self-structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The study found that the majority of respondents in the study are computer literate, experienced in using ICT tools, and comfortable with their use in the HIM department. They do not perceive ICT as a burden. However, respondents identified several challenges, including the complexity of ICT systems, insufficient training and support, inadequate infrastructure, security concerns, and limited financial resources. Despite these challenges, respondents recognize the value of ICT in improving workflow, data management, coordination, accuracy, and collaboration within the HIM department. Based on the study''s findings, it is recommended that national institutions should be mandated by the Federal Government of Nigeria to institutionalize the use of ICTs and their applications in the health sector. In addition, clear policies must be established to monitor progress in the adoption of ICTs in the sector.
