The study specifically aimed to investigate the effect of company income tax, petroleum income tax, and excise duty on Nigeria's gross domestic product. Government revenue generation was proxied with company income tax, petroleum income tax and excise duty. Secondary data were used in this study and sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Statistical Bulletin. The data were estimated using ordinary least squares (OLS) regression analysis. The findings revealed that the tax paid by companies in Nigeria plays a significant role in financing most economic-driven projects during the period covered by those studies. Based on these finding, the conclusion revealed that government revenue generation through company income tax, petroleum income tax and excise duties are most formidable in promoting Nigeria's economic growth since they exhibited a significant positive relationship with gross domestic product.
