The study was specifically carried out to assess the causes of infertility among women of reproductive age from 19-49 years, also to examine the effect of infertility on women of reproductive age from 19-49 years and to investigate the coping strategies adopted in dealing with infertility among women of reproductive age from 19-49 years in Edor Ikom Local Government Area. The research design adopted a descriptive survey. The population of the study comprises 3,500 women of reproductive age (19–49 years) in Edor, Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State, and a sample size of 359 women was determined using the Taro Yamane formula for sample size determination. The sampling technique employed was simple random sampling, ensuring that each woman had an equal chance of being selected, frequency and percentages. Based on the findings, the study recommends that Healthcare providers should intensify public awareness campaigns on the causes and prevention of infertility, particularly regarding sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and lifestyle-related risk factors.
