Abstract
This project is to determine the impact of the state house of assembly performance on infrastructure development in Taraba State with reference to Central Zone Taraba. Survey research design was used. Questionnaire was administered in order to obtain relevant material for the study. A total of 9 respondents was selected from the elected members of House of Assembly in the Central Zone. The research questions were administered using frequency distribution and mean score. Findings revealed that inadequate funding is a major challenge hindering the State House of Assembly's effectiveness in promoting infrastructure development. Lack of technical expertise among the members of the State House of Assembly affects their ability to promote infrastructure development. Corruption within the State House of Assembly is a significant barrier to infrastructure development. The researcher recommended that the government should increase the budgetary allocation for infrastructure projects, ensuring that funds are disbursed in a timely and utilized efficiently. This can be achieved through better collaboration between the legislative and executive branches. The State House of Assembly should adopt more transparent processes in its decision-making and project implementation. Regular public disclosures of budget allocations, project progress, and expenditures should be mandated to build public trust and ensure accountability....
