In the face of the ongoing discourses of the new media and how it has given voice to the voiceless, there have been a lot of media campaigns. This study, however, tried to assess the audience perception of these media campaigns. Literature was sourced from textbooks, lecture notes, journals, internet sources and other relevant periodicals and publications. This study made use of two theoretical frameworks, namely Cultivation Theory and Media Framing Theory. Survey method was employed in the study. During the survey, questionnaires and interviews were the only instruments of data collection used. The quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection were used. A sample size of 400 respondents was used for this study. The sample was selected through the Multi-Stage sampling technique. A total of 400 copies of questionnaires were administered to the respondents with 200 copies each to Awka and Nnewi, respectively, through Convenience Sampling. Out of the 400 copies distributed, a total of 385 copies of the questionnaire were returned, representing a 96.5% return rate. The respondents’ answers were carefully collected and presented in tables. The study revealed that the majority of the respondents were aware of media campaigns on femicide in Anambra State. Majority of the respondents were therefore of the view that the campaigns have had little success in the fight against domestic violence.
