In this context, this study examines the level of woman participation, challenges faced by female quantity surveyors that influence in the course of developing careers in quantity surveyor practice and the strategies that can be used to encourage women participation in quantity surveyor profession. This was done through self–administration of 70 questionnaires to some selected firms or organization in Bida and Minna, Niger State. The analyses show that the participation of female quantity surveyors in professional is very low because of many challenges ranging from female responsibilities to female preference for other jobs relative to quantity surveyor practice. Therefore, the study recommends that making young female aware of the opportunities in quantity surveyor practice is needed to encourage them to build their careers in quantity surveyor profession from the school stage in order to increase the number of professional women participating in future.
