The objective is to create a data that will depict/show the undulating nature of umuoko– mechanic village road in other to have an engineering design that will facilitate its future construction. This project is made up of five chapters, chapter one explains everything about route survey (introduction), the aims and objectives of the study, scope of the project and site location. Chapter two is a literature review in which many works done on route survey were reviewed. Chapter three explains the data acquisition, it talks about the instrument used, personnel’s, traversing, reconnaissance, linear measurement, leveling and the detailing. Chapter four talks about how data that was acquired from the field are analysed processed and presented in soft or hard copy.
