Three research questions were formulated for the study. 78 participants took part in the study. A questionnaire was used to ex-ray the effects of non-use of instructional materials in teaching English Language in secondary schools. The questionnaires was used for data analysis. Findings showed that non-use of instructional materials has adverse effects on the study of English Language. Findings showed that students taught with instructional materials performed better than students taught without instructional materials.
