The researcher set out to achieve the following objectives: To determine the causes of the poor performance of the cooperative enterprise in Isiala-Ngwa North Lga, Abia state. To evaluate and analyze the subject matter which helps in the policy making and decision making of cooperative associations. In the design of works, the researcher made use of basic sources of data, collection via, primary and secondary data. The survey research method was used in which a group of people was studied by collecting and analyzing the data considered to be representatives of the center group by sampling the opinion of a few of them. Having known the causes of poor performance, the following recommendations were made: In order to correct the poor performance of cooperative enterprises, the government should help to provide funds and provide other required items, such as pieces of machinery etc. for the cooperative.
