The objectives of this study were to evaluate the impact of public procurement on effective purchases in Nigeria, to evaluate the impact of logistics on effective purchases in Nigeria, to evaluate the impact of due diligence on effective purchases in Nigeria The scope of the study is public procurement department in Nigeria making use of the senior and junior staff workers, contingency theory was used as a framework. The research design used is a survey, the population size for this study consists of all the staff of the public procurement department in Nigeria, 96 workers were used as sample size and cluster sampling technique was applied. Questionnaire was used as instrument of data collection. Data were collected from primary sources. From the analysis of the data, the findings show effective public procurement is important to the country and the world as it forms the basis of GDP, logistics had a significant impact on organizational performance, due diligence is vital as it helps prevent exposure to fraud. Following the findings, it was recommended that public procurement, logistics and due diligence should be done with the utmost care, efficiency and competence should be ensured. The study concludes that public procurement, logistics and due diligence has positive impacts on effective purchases in Nigeria.
