The purpose of this study is to access the factors affecting cervical cancer screening among women in Kano Municipal Local government, Kano state. Two research questions were formulated to guide the research work. This study is expected to be of great importance to the government at various levels, health institutions, and health workers. Related works of literature were properly reviewed. a descriptive survey design was carried out among females in Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital. The population of the study consists of females in Kano Municipal Local Government, Kano State. A sample random sampling was used to select 50 respondents from the population. A structured questionnaire was used to obtain data for this study and was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The items under each research question were structured based on three points Likert Scale. The research instrument was validated by two experts. Decision making was based on a cut-off point of 2.00 on a five-point rating scale. Therefore, any item with a mean of 2.00 and above was accepted while any item with a mean of 1.99 and below was rejected. Mean and frequency were use to describe the finding from the study. 36% of the respondents are between the age of 15-30. The assessment of the level of awareness of the respondents with a grand mean of 2.44 showed that their awareness level is adequate. Also, the factors affecting cervical cancer screening among KMC women are remarkably adequate based on the findings from this study.
