The study reviewed some related works of literature which formed the basic framework of reference of the study. A simple random sampling technique was used in selecting 50 respondents for the study. Data were collected using 28 item closed and open-ended questionnaires which were analyzed in percentages, frequencies, pie charts and bar charts. The study revealed a high level of awareness among respondents. Some current practices include the use of the nursing process, nursing audit, self-evaluation and documentation. It was discovered that factors like: lack of instruments, human resources, poor supervision and lack of training affect the implementation of quality assurance.
