Abstract
The study assessed the adequacy of the instructional resources available for business education programme at the college of education in Gusau, Zamfara State in relation to the standards stipulated by the National Commission for College of Education (NCCE). The study adopted the ex-post factor research design and was guided by five research questions. The population of the study comprised of NCE business education. The entire population was studied in terms of the adequacy of instructional materials. The data for the study was collected through direct observation using the NCCE standards as imeentary and analyzed using a percentage score. The study found that lecturers and physical facilities available for business education programme are adequate equipment and supplies in the typing studios, shorthand studios and model office were found to be grossly adequate. Based on these findings, therefore, it was concluded that students of business education in these colleges of education are learning with the necessary and required instructional resources for effective development. To this end, it was recommended among others that the National Commission for Colleges of Education should regularly supervise the programme of business education and ensure that their stipulated standards are maintained. ...
