Abstract
The focus of this study is leadership style end job satisfaction in Nigeria Public Service. A study of a selected unit in Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana. Its major objective was to identify the relationship between leadership style and job satisfaction, to know of good leadership style enhances efficiency and productivity in an organization. The study utilized sample random sampling techniques and data was collected using a questionnaire that required respondent to rate their level of job satisfaction. The research found out that for any organization to achieve its objective, there must be mutual interaction between organizational leaders and their followers. It is also discovered that job satisfaction can also be seen as a pleasurable or positive emotional state result from the appraisal of one’s job or job experience. The researcher recommend that there should be a participation leadership style in Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana inorder to maintain a mutual and cordial relationship among the management and workers, inorder to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in achieving organizational goals. ...
