Excreta can be defined as the combination of liquid and solid produced from the human body. According to Okereke (2006). The primary objective of this research is to ascertain the effect of poor excreta disposal and the factors responsible for poor excreta disposal, to proffer solutions to it, and to assess the excreta disposal method that will be simple to construct. In Okposhi Eshi community. Descriptive research design is used in this research persons of both sex were used as the sample population and random sampling techniques was adopted. However, data were collected through questionnaires, personal observation and interviews, 90 questionnaires were collected and analyzed using simple percentages. However, from the finding, it was discovered that the community has knowledge that lack of Health Education, ignorance, culture and poverty are causes of poor excreta disposal in Okposhi Eshi community. Furthermore, based on the findings from the study, the researcher concluded that more effort should be made to educate people about the effect of poor excreta disposal.
