The study was aimed at determining the aims and attitudes of parents towards sex education of adolescents. The specific objectives used for this study were: to access the level of knowledge of parents towards sex education, to ascertain the attitudes of parents towards sex education of adolescents and to identify the factors that influence their attitudes. A cross-sectional descriptive study design was used for the study. a sample size of 100 was selected using simple random sampling technique. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire which was validated and reliable (0.71). Data collected was organized and analyzed systematically and manually using frequency tables, charts and percentages. The result showed that 94(94%) of the respondents have knowledge of sex education and this information was more from the schools,' majority of the parents want sex education to be introduced into the school curriculum but not willing to impact the knowledge to the adolescent child themselves. This is due to some factors such as: the gender of the child, religions and traditional beliefs that sex education will promote promiscuity among adolescents and to some extent time regardless of the healthy relationship with the adolescent child. Finally, the researcher concludes that the gender of the child is a significant predictor of parental attitudes and parents who were more knowledgeable talked more with their children although there were factors that hinder sex education of adolescents.
