Abstract
This research work is concerned with the effective management of salary and wages as a tool for organizational performance - a case study of Lokoja Local Government Area. It is on this premise that the study is to evaluate and highlights the significance of salaries and wages as factors towards achieving the aims and objectives of an organization. To accomplish this task successfully, sample of (150) respondents was taken through stratified sample random techniques. However, hypotheses were formulated and tested, using chi-square (x2) analysis. The researcher discovered that the method of payment also revealed that salary movement boosts employees’ morale and leads to high productivity and the salary they earned has a connection with motivation. The employers of labour are aware of the fact that salary is also one way of motivating workers in an organization. Furthermore, the researcher’s recommended that there should be a cordial working relationship between the leader and the led. There should be a forum created where the top management officers interact and share ideas with their subordinates.
