Abstract
The major purpose of the study was to determine the roles of educated Nigerian women in the socioeconomic development of our country. The population of the study consisted of 78 educated women. The sample size for the study was 70 using simple random sampling, with 90% of the percent of the entire population. Four research questions were formulated which quoted the study. Structured questionnaires were developed, the percentage was used to analyze the data collected. The major finding of the study was. (1) it was observed that women help in the building of charitable organizations, motherless baby homes etc, awarding of scholarships, and building of health centers (2)  it was also found that government is the most eminent source of help to educate Nigerian women in playing their roles and it was concluded that.  (3) educated women play a vital role in the socio-economic development of  Nigeria  (4) educated women contribute in the building of charitable organizations awarding scholarships and building health centers. It was recommended that above mention  factors (5) that the federal government should  encourage women's education by criticizing early marriage in the country (6) government should create employment programmes for younger women to enable them to develop themselves...
