It informed the health officers of the understanding of staff of the hospital regarding PMTCT services. Among the objectives was to assess whether awareness affects the utilization of prevention of mother-to-child transmission services among pregnant woman in Civil Service Hospital and to determine whether stigmatization affect the utilization of MTCT services among pregnant women attending antenatal clinic in Civil Services Hospital. Furthermore, to assess whether economic factors affect the utilization of MTCT service among pregnant women in Civil Service Hospital. Many medical and allied literatures were reviewed to develop more facts for the project work. This research use descriptive survey to sample relevant respondents attending Civil Service Hospital Abeokuta. Questionnaire is the instrument used to gather and analyze the data, 100 questionnaires were distributed out of which 100 were also retrieved. In conclusion, recommendations were made that there must be continuous health education, enlightenment, etc for our pregnant women during ante-natal and even post-natal clinics on HIV and some other prevalent diseases, HIV/ AIDS should also form part of the syllabus in our post-primary schools.
