Identification of phytochemicals responsible for anti-ulcer activity of acioa barteri using high performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) Department:Pharmaceutical Technology By: GodFirst Project ID: 6814 Rating: (5.0) votes: 1 Price:₦3000 Get the Complete MaterialAbstractIn this investigation, the leaf of Acioabarteri was subjected to the identification of phytochemicals responsible for the antiulcer activity of Acioabarteri using High Performance Liquid Chromatography– Diode Array Detector(HPLC-DAD). The leaf sample was extracted with ethyl acetate. Extracted sample was injected based on the retention time and peak formation, the bioactive compounds were screened. The Chromeleon 6.30 software was used to create results for the HPLC chromatograms and UV spectra of the secondary metabolites. High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analysis of Acioabarterirevealed the existence of six (6) compounds which were responsible for its antiulcer activity, they are Gallic acid (1), Quercetin (2), Kaempferol (K,mpf3Orhamnoglucsid) (3), 3,4,6, tribromo-2-(2,4 dibromophenoxy)phenol (4). The chemical composition of the ethyl acetate leaf extract of Acioabarteriusing HPLC-DAD techniques shows that there are several chemicals present in good percentage, which may be responsible for the antiulcer activity of Acioabarteri. ...Preview Download Preview +Other Pharmaceutical Technology project topics and materials you might be interested in»Comparative analysis of the acidity of different brands of folic acid sold in Owerri»Spectroscopic analysis of the first eluate of Piper Guineense extract»Knowledge, attitude and practice of prescription of drugs among school of community health science College of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe, Zamfara state»Analysis of the impact of electronic prescribing on medication safety and efficiency»Identification of phytochemicals responsible for anti-ulcer activity of acioa barteri using high performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector (HPLC-DAD)»Phytochemical screening, proximate and elemental analysis of two varieties of bitter kola (Garcinia kola) seed sold in Mariri market, Kano state
