Abstract
This work examines the role of the press in the development of female football in Nigeria using a complete sports newspaper as a case study. The researcher used the survey method to elicit responses from respondents. The instrument used for the study was a questionnaire, and the sample size was 120. It was revealed from our findings that the Complete Sports newspaper has helped in the development of female football through the kind of news they report daily. Based on the findings, the researcher recommended among others that complete sport should employ more staff and train journalists who will be responsible for reporting female football in Nigeria....
