The major objectives of the study were to find out the essence of biomedical engineers on computer tomography in the intensive care unit (ICU) in the study area. To ascertain whether computer tomography plays a vital role in the intensive care unit (ICU) in the study area. To examine the challenges facing biomedical engineers on computer tomography in the intensive care unit in the study area. The population of the study involves all Senior Secondary School Students in Gwale local government in Kano State. A total of hundred (100) questionnaires were administered to the respondents and data collected was analysed using simple percentage. This research finding revealed that the majority of the respondents 35% indicated that the essence of biomedical engineers on computer tomography in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the study plays a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of critically ill patients. This research also revealed that 50% indicated that the role of Computer Tomography became a useful screening tool for detecting possible tumors or lesions within the abdomen. Also, this finding revealed that the majority of the respondents 55% indicated that the challenge facing Biomedical Engineers on Computer Tomography in the Intensive Care Unit is the Lack of Infrastructure. It was recommended toencourage continuous training sessions for ICU staff on the utilization of CT scanners. Biomedical engineers can conduct these sessions to ensure that medical personnel are updated on the latest advancements, safety protocols, and efficient use of the equipment and Establish a comprehensive maintenance schedule for CT scanners in the ICU. Biomedical engineers should perform regular check-ups, preventive maintenance, and calibration to ensure optimal functionality and avoid unexpected downtime that could impact critical patient care....Preview Download Preview +Other Medical Radiography project topics and materials you might be interested in»Knowledge and practice of justification of medical exposure among medical and dental practitioners in teaching hospitals within Kano metropolis»Pattern of bone scintigraphy findings in a tertiary hospital in Nigeria»Knowledge and awareness of radiation exposure and safety practice among patients undergoing medical imaging General Hospital Gusau»Evaluation of the prevalence of sesamoid bone in lower extremity radiographs (case study of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Universty Teaching Hospital Bauchi, Bauchi state)»The relevance of biomedical engineers on computer tomography (CT) in intensive care unit (ICU) Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Hospital»New design of a radiology request-referral form (case study of Specialist Hospital Bauchi, Bauchi state)
