The study aims to investigate the influence of budget allocation and utilization practices on organizational performance and identify the key challenges faced in implementing effective budgetary control mechanisms in Bosso LGA. Using a questionnaire survey, data was collected from 100 respondents from various departments within the local government administration. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods were employed to analyze the data. The findings reveal a significant relationship between budget allocation and utilization practices and organizational efficiency. Additionally, the study identified several challenges in implementing effective budgetary control mechanisms, including a lack of clear budget guidelines, inadequate training for staff, and the absence of a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework.
