It is evident that knowledge and implementation of manpower planning in health information management and healthcare delivery cannot be overemphasized, because it helps the staff to improve more in their different fields. Manpower planning forms the nucleus that steers the quality of healthcare that will be rendered to the patients in terms of productivity, monitoring and evaluation and welfare packages. In general terms, the objectives of this study are to examine the extent of knowledge of manpower planning in the hospital management, to find out the reasons for the implementation of manpower planning in the health information department of Iyi-Enu Mission Hospital, to find out the benefits of manpower planning in the hospital. The study adopts a descriptive survey research design to present the population of the study; sample size of 80 was chosen from the staff of the hospital using simple random sampling. A well-structured questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. It was discovered that the hospital doesn’t really have much knowledge of manpower planning and the implementation of manpower planning is poor in the organization. Based on the findings of this study, the following recommendations were made to the management and also to the personnel. To the management; management should ensure effective knowledge of manpower planning in healthcare delivery, management should ensure proper implementation of manpower planning in health information management and healthcare delivery, management should ensure that training and development regularly take place for the personnel to ensure that they are highly updated in their knowledge to tackle both present and future challenges in healthcare services. To the personnel; personnel should ensure that they effectively discharge their duties to ascertain an effective and efficient healthcare delivery system. Personnel should ensure accurate implementation of manpower planning in health information management and healthcare delivery.
