Although medical professionals claim they observe the practice of confidentiality, it is still as good as not practiced. The aim of the study was to investigate whether there are available confidentiality measures in the health care delivery system. And also to examine the effects of non-availability of confidentiality measures in the management of patient health information. Based on this, five research questions were raised while two hypotheses were postulated. Methodology adopted was the descriptive study design and the simple random sampling technique was used. A sample size of 282 respondents was drawn from 1081 population of the selected department of the hospital. Questionnaire was used to collect data from the respondents. The data collected was analyzed using simple percentage and frequency distribution tables. From the findings, the researcher found out that the respondents (100%) attested that confidentiality is vital in the healthcare delivery system. 267 respondents (95%) said yes that there are available measures to adopt to ensure the confidentiality of patient’s Health Information. The finding also revealed that a developed comprehensive confidentiality policy and ensuring that patient information is stored within a secured system are measures to adopt to ensure confidentiality in health records management as affirmed by a majority of the respondents representing (100) 35.5%.
