Despite the significance of saliva for oral health, there's a lack of comprehensive research on this topic in this demographic group. The objectives include evaluating awareness levels, investigating causes and impacts, determining prevalence, and analyzing the interrelationship between awareness, causes, and effects of xerostomia on oral health and quality of life. Understanding these aspects is vital for health awareness, policy development, and improving young individuals' quality of life. The study targets youth aged 15-24 in the rural area of Mani metropolis, Mani Local Government Area of Katsina State. It comprises five chapters: introduction, literature review, research methodology, results and discussions, and conclusion with implications and recommendations for future research. A cross-sectional research design will be used, gathering data at a specific point in time. The target population will undergo selection through multistage cluster sampling.
