Abstract
This project was carried out in other to construct A GLASSED–WOOD CENTRE TABLE with the use of glass and engineering wood products in other to provide a composite table. GLASS-WOOD CENTRE TABLE is an essential material needed in the office and home. It is very important in offices and homes because it allows you to free up a lot of floor space. It also gives space for things to be placed on it. • Glassed-wood centre table or composite table was made from glass and hardwood. It is constructed from glass and wood called H.D.F (High-Density Fiber) that has been reformed using heat, glue and pressure, each layer runs in different directions, which makes it very stable and provides better properties than hardwood. • The top layer of the glassed-wood centre table is the fancy-looking one: a beautiful veneer of solid tinted glass. It’s the layer you’ll feel and touch and it’s the most important choice to make when choosing your glassed-wood centre table. • The second layer of the glassed-wood centre table is the clever one: a strong, supportive layer which can be made of rubber. It holds the glass firmly to a wooden stand. All three materials work the same, preventing the top layer from warping and slipping off the stand. • The last layer of the glassed-wood centre table is the stabilizing back layer. The result A beautiful floor which doesn’t buckle in areas of changing the moisture of the engineering wood is preferred because they are designed to meet specific customer requirements and contains certain advantages. ...
