The specific objectives of the study were to identify the information needs of diabetes patients in Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Hospital, Kano state To identify the information sources available for diabetes patients in Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Hospital, Kano state To explore the information seeking strategies of diabetes patients in teaching hospitals in Kano state To identify the challenges to accessing information for diabetes patients in teaching hospitals in Kano state To find out the possible measures for overcoming the identified challenges. The literature was reviewed in line with the objective of the study. Total of 1,573 make up the population of the study, out of which 306 were randomly selected and participated in the survey, providing valuable insights into their perspectives and experiences. Questionnaire was used as data collection instrument. The collected data was analyzed using frequency count and percentages.
