This study investigates abortion stigma and its associated behavior patterns among women seeking post-natal care at Bauchi Urban Maternity Kofar Ram in Nigeria. Methods: A cross-sectional study design was employed, and data were collected through structured interviews and questionnaires administered to post-natal clinic attendees. The study explored various dimensions of abortion stigma, including perceived stigma, enacted stigma, and internalized stigma. Additionally, it examined the impact of socio-demographic factors on these stigma behavior patterns. Results: Preliminary findings indicate that a significant proportion of post-natal clinic attendees experience abortion-related stigma, affecting their emotional and psychological well-being. Participants reported instances of discrimination, social isolation, and fear of judgment from healthcare providers and their communities.
