It is not about current treatment or intervention rather it draws attention to the high prevalence level of Diabetes Mellitus among Staff of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic. Despite the limitations associated with the research on the prevalence rate and risk factors of diabetes mellitus among Staff of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, the burden of diabetes mellitus in the general Nigerian population reviewed found that the prevalence of diabetes in the general population is low. However, studies are fragmentary and a nationally representative rate is not available in the public domain. The findings of this study show that there has been a significant increase in the prevalence of DM among the Staff of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, affecting the Staff of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, with the highest prevalence noted in these regions and especially the southwestern part of the country.
